The Mushroom House
The Mushroom house is a series of five interconnected pods located on a hill at the tree line, just like the homes in the original Smurfs series, a 3D movie, and is furnished with five rooms; a master bedroom suite, fountain-furnished family room, a guest suite, a patio, and a three-car garage. The pods are 30 feet in diameter and weigh 80 tons.

I once visited a hollowed out tree stump that had been turned into a house by two fugitive criminals. It was the cutest thing I'd ever seen- thank you for sharing these odd homes!
I love Unique houses I live in a RV for half of the year in florida, usa. very nice read
That is too funny. I thought you were just kidding. How about some really neat treehouses? I've seen some really cool ones in magazines.
A fun hub! When you said unusual, I was thinking that I'd find my dream house. Guess I am a bit of a fuddy duddy. Can't see living in a giant roll of toilet paper or a shoe. And even the cute little mushroom village was way too much. But the houseboat? Loved it. Wonder if they get a bit damp and chilly.
This is an awesome hub! Voted up and lots of good things!
Cool hub. You'd find me in the converted windmill house. Enjoyed this hub and the unique homes. Some, like the toilet house, made me wonder, "What were they thinking?" but others, like the Mushroom Village, looked whimsical and fun.
Voted up and interesting.
Good to see such interesting and varied places to live. My house is in a town, next to a marina and a canal. We use it as a pied-a-terre, easy to lock up and leave, neighbours to look after it - that way we have life at home, lots of good friends around and life away with good friends too! Voted up and interesting.
Cool ideas for ideas, I too love unusual dwellings and as im a wooden mushroom collector . . . . where else for me!!!!! LOVE IT. Enjoy your travels look forward to more of your articles.
